Speech-Language Screenings
Individual screenings
I offer speech and language screenings for pre-school through high-school-aged children. Screenings for individuals are typically conducted at my office. I also offer on-site screenings for groups of five or more children. This is a great service for early identification of speech and language issues. Early identification and treatment is crucial to ensure academic (particularly literacy) and social success. Screenings let us know if we need to conduct further evaluation.

Speech-Language Evaluations
In-depth assessment
I provide formal and informal speech, language, and literacy evaluations for children and young adults. An evaluation tells us whether or not speech and language services may be needed.
Typically, these evaluations can be used for eligibility meetings in the schools where applicable.

Parent, Teacher, and Caregiver Education
Strategies to use at home, in school, and at work
I offer education to parents, teachers and caregivers about strategies to use at home and in the classroom to increase communication success for themselves or their loved one.

Advocacy
Help to navigate the “alphabet soup”
I help families advocate for their loved one’s needs in a variety of settings. For children, this may be advocating for their unique instructional needs in the classroom or for services through the eligibility/ IEP (Individualized Education Plan) or 504 processes. For children and adults, this might involve helping them self-advocate at home and in the workplace. This may also include adopting strategies in the home to help children and adults be more independent and empowered.

Consultation
For organizations and groups to inform their practice
I am available to consult with educational psychologists, educational organizations, schools, and parent and caregiver groups.
