Musings from an SLP

My name is Anna Roberge. I was drawn to this profession after traveling a somewhat circuitous path of being an Exceptional Children’s teacher, a literacy tutor, a graduate student in Landscape Design!, and an Orton-Gillingham-based tutor. I have a keen interest in self-expression whether it is a visual expression such as through a painting, a flower garden, or facial expressions, a written expression such as a poem or website post, or a spoken expression such as a conversation or a song. I am also interested in how these messages are received and perceived and ultimately, how this exchange engenders relationships, community, and belonging. We derive meaning in life through our relationships. Through my practice as a speech-language pathologist, I hope to help people better express themselves and understand others in an effort to foster this sense of belonging and greater quality of life.

Thank you for visiting my site. Please feel free to contact me with any speech or language concerns or questions you may have regarding yourself or a loved one.
